SST offers a compensation and benefits
package to its U.S. employees* that is comprehensive, affordable, and flexible. Some
benefits are company-paid, while others require employee contributions to provide the
level of coverage they wish.
*All regular full-time employees (working at least 30 hours
per week) are eligible for the benefits described here.
Health and Life Insurance Benefits
SST's health and life insurance benefits are effective on
the date of active employment.
Medical Insurance
SST offers three types of medical insurance coverage: a PPO
plan and two HMO plans. Each plan provides hospital, surgical, and general medical care
benefits. The PPO plan has an annual out-of-pocket maximum to limit the amount of money an
employee would be expected to pay each year. The HMO plans emphasize preventative care
with no annual deductible and a nominal co-payment fee for services rendered.
Dental Insurance
SST offers comprehensive dental insurance coverage to
employees and their eligible dependents.
Vision Insurance
SST offers comprehensive vision insurance coverage to
employees and their eligible dependents.
Life Insurance
SST offers company-paid life insurance for each employee and
immediate family members.
Short and Long Term Disability
SST offers both short and long term disability coverage which
will provide continuing income if an employee becomes ill or injured and unable to work.
Employee Assistance Program
SST offers an Employee Assistance Program offering three free counseling sessions per
person, per topic, per year. In addition, we provide Affinity Work/Life Benefit that
allows you to get unlimited referrals & advice on a variety of topics including,
childcare, eldercare, petcare, financial assistance, legal assistance, education
assistance, etc.. This benefit is available to all full-time employees and their eligible
dependents at no cost.
Domestic Partner Program
Employees who work at least 30 hours per week may enroll their domestic partners of the
same or opposite sex and their children (eligible dependents of the domestic partner) into
the SST medical, dental & vision plans. SST recognizes there are several different
lifestyles among employees. The SST Benefit Program is a step toward addressing these
differences, adding domestic partners coverage is another. We are known in our industry as
a progressive company and, along with a few other innovative employers in the country, we
are leading the way in offering a progressive benefit program that meets the needs of
employees today.
OOA Plan
SST offers an Out of Area medical plan for those employees who reside outside of
California. This plan provides you the ability to see any doctor of your choice and
reimburses at 90%, with an annual deductible of $200.
Retirement and Investment Benefits
SST offers plans that allow its employees to share in the
company's success and add to their financial assets.
Employee Profit Sharing Plan
Twice a year, if SST's operating profit meets the prescribed
goals, SST pays a portion of this profit to each employee. Employees hired during the first or second half
periods are eligible to participate on a prorated basis.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Eligible employees may elect to purchase SST stock through
payroll deductions. SST provides a 10% discount off the stock's market price on the
purchase date to encourage employees to build company ownership.
401(K) Retirement Savings Plan
The SST 401(K) Savings Plan provides a vehicle for employees
to save for their retirement. Your 401(K) account grows over time through employee
deposits and investment earnings. SST matches dollar for dollar to a maximum of $2500/year
(matching is vested over a four year period).

Flexible Spending Plan
Under this plan, employees can establish an account to cover
personal health care spending and/or dependent care spending on a pre-tax basis to pay for
unreimbursed health care expenses or dependent care expenses.
Education Reimbursement
With pre-approval, SST will reimburse employees who complete a
wide variety of business-related educational opportunitiesfrom a single course to an
entire degree program.
Fitness Programs
SST employees may join the Decathlon Club (for a nominal fee) or may choose to join a health club of their choice and be able to receive partial reimbursement for monthly dues.
Combined Time Off and Holidays
During the first year of employment, SST employees receive 15
paid days off for vacation, illness or personal business each year. The number of days off
increases with the number of years of employment. In addition, SST employees enjoy 10 paid
holidays each year.
