SST89CK78BSL: Boot-Strap Loader Demo Kit
The Boot-Strap Loader (BSL) Demo Kit allows the user to gain familiarity with the SST BSL code interactively or
use the kit to develop a custom BSL. Users can also use the demo kit as a low-cost platform to download
various application codes, which they can use to evaluate in their product designs, allowing product differentiation
and quicker time-to-market. Additionally, the BSL Demo Board can be used to develop firmware for user
applications with the SoftICE software utility provided.
BSL code resides in the internal memory of the SST FlashFlex Family of 8-bit, 8051-compatible microcontrollers.
The BSL code provides an easy way for users to add or update product code into FlashFlex microcontrollers late
in the manufacturing cycle and easily upgrade code in the field.

- Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT/XP user interface
- RS-232 serial communication support
- FlashFlex flash erase, sector blank check, write and read capability
- Security lock and re-map setting
- File download and upload from either internal or external flash memory
- Self-detection of serial connection
- Auto reset after file download
